London County Short Mat Bowls Association

About Us

We are the governing body for Short Mat Bowls in Greater London (London County) with affiliation to the English Short Mat Bowling Association (ESMBA).​ A full list of clubs registered with us can be found under  "clubs, umpires & leagues". In practice these tend to be clubs south of the river around the Croydon and Bromley area.

London County runs a team that plays inter-county friendly matches usually against opposing counties B Teams. Several open county competitions are also held at home venues during the year : Please see the "county competitions" page for these.
